ZEST ENERGY

ZEST ENERGY For my second-year advanced visual design module at Hull University, I received a design brief focusing on creating a new branding suite for an energy drink and producing a 10-second digital stop-motion animation for promotion. The target demographic for this project was individuals over the age of 60. Inspired by this demographic, I opted for packaging design reminiscent of the vibrant colors and patterns of the 1960s Mod era.

AQUAKIDS

AQUAKIDS | WATER NOT SUGAR CAMPAIGN The brief for this group project involved designing a campaign in two hours that aimed to persuade preschool children between the ages of 3 and 5 to drink water over sugary drinks. As joint creative director with Ellie Ward we had the task of delegating tasks to each group member. Project Direction Amber – Board Game Ellie – Website and App Rana – Print Design Lucy – Stickers Collective – Brand Identity The Board Game My contribution to the campaign brief was to design a board game children could play to make drinking water more fun. I used Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop to communicate the design, ensuring the branding was consistent with the brand identity. The Save the Polar Bears board game concept is to inspire children to drink more water while briefly educating them on the climate crisis; the concept brings more educational depth to the game and links well with the water theme.  The rules of the game are simple; the children spin the wheel, and depending on which direction the spinner landson, they either ‘freeze’ the ice by drinking water and connecting a magnet to the game board or they melt the iceby removing a magnet from the game board and spinning again. The game will continue until all the ice is‘frozen’, and the polar bears are saved.

Rebel recipes

REBEL RECIPES  Adrian requested further help after hiring a baker to open a new onsite pizza parlour. The pizza parlour required a brand identity, including a name and a logo. The client asked for a rustic/edgy logo that also took inspiration from the hammer and sickle, with the goal of representing synergy between the wider community and coming together at Rooted in Hull for a shared alfresco style culinary experience.

Rooted in Hull

ROOTED IN HULL  Adrian Fisher the founder of Rooted in Hull reached out and asked to meet with my BA (Hons) Graphic Design class in 2021. The aim of the meeting was to help our class establish professional client relationships and to aid Adrian in promoting the charitable acts of Rooted in Hull, with the goal of reaching the wider community. Adrian provided us with an insight into what he envisioned for Rooted in Hull and asked us to design merchandise to encourage the public to visit the site and get involved with community projects. Supporting the less privileged and providing jobs and personal development opportunities.
